Ebook About Take Me Home Tonight is a slow burn, friends to lovers, rock star romance about a passionate woman who brings a wounded musician back to life. “The book is emotional and tremendously sexy— Kelly’s rendering of Calix’s grieving parents is particularly well-done, but it is Mimi’s strength that will linger long after the finish.” – Washington Post Best Romance Novel 2016Calix Bourbon might seem like a free spirit, but that’s all a front. In reality, he’s just trying to keep his fractured family together while working as a session musician. These books having laughing and crying. I have enjoy reading them. I love the fact that eachbook flows into the next. These books give you an amazing love between two people love of family even though they're not blood and an amazing ability of forgiveness. Wow! This series was just amazing! Big burly, tatted up rockstars with heart and souls - all of them! What great stories with their women and each other! I’m sure parts of this series were very real and the feelings that came with the fallout of many of the decisions the guys made didn’t seem too far fetched. There is a book for each rockstar except one but you get glimpses of his story too.Book 1 is Slater’s story. Slater is the gorgeous and supremely talented lead singer with a deep soul and a big heart for his girl and his band. Emmie is the sister of his best friend and becomes their manager. Their love story is probably my favorite of the bunch because it is just so ridiculously over the top, yet believable too. In all the books, he never wavers and continues to treat Emmie like the queen that she is.Book 2 is Derek’s story. Derek is Emmie’s brother and the band's bass player. He is their organizer and master musician. Derek and Slater are the true heart of this band and work hard to try and keep the band a family. Sometimes family has to make tough decisions and act responsibly, not necessarily like bad boy rockstars. Violet is brought in to help with this endeavor. They’re a great couple too and it is Violet’s home that becomes their refuge and happy place. Loved that!Book 3 is Calix’s story. Calix is brought in to be a replacement keyboardist. He can play all instruments and can sing too. Finding out why he doesn’t want to join their band and his reluctance to seek fame makes for a great story. Loved him with Mimi! They are so good for each other and how she gets his family involved with the band and for their betterment is fantastic!Book 4 is Cooper’s story. Cooper is the lead guitarist and with some of his behavior in the first couple books, I was worried he might not make it to get a story! I am so glad he got himself together! He decides to step up and help the band find an opening act and most of his story is him solo though the band members do show up at the end. His story takes place in his hometown where his demons and his high school crush are. What a great guy and a great story! Daisy and he help each other put their demons to rest! They grow so much together. Loved these two and their small town family!Fantastic series - don’t miss this one!
